for everyone

This performance marks a change in the way I view Little David. Hey, the kid's perfect boyband material and I mean that in the best way possible. =)

In the battle of the Davids, Little David trumped Cook tonight.

On another note, I wish someone had taken on Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

I agree, I loved what David A. did to the song! I can't wait to download it :)
and yes, I think they all got stuck with Phantom. good thing Carly Smithson changed her song =P

After doing the complete season of "Any Dream Will Do?" (did any of you see that?), I'm relieved no one did. Hehe!

I did think David Archuleta did a great version of the song. I never knew David Cook could actually sing (and not just mimic other bands' covers) until last night, but I think he ruined the performance with the last note he did.

Must agree with you on this one. I actually thought the song of Cook exposed his vocal talents a bit. The held notes were a bit shaky and I just wish he would stop hitting those high notes with a matching squished face, full mouth open.

I still think its going to be David vs David in the final. Quite interesting because despite what people say about both of them, they both have very distinct styles that they stick with. Archuleta obviously goes with the ballads, hitting melodic tunes and uses his vocal techniques to the max. Cook counters with a rock grunge style which is always called inventive and edgy but is actually just another musical style altogether. It's not inventive just because it's rock.

I think it will boil down to what they actually sing and perform in the finals. I'm just wondering if Cook really wants to win this. I think winning might actually hurt his career. Can you imagine him being introduced forever as the American Idol 2008 winner? shivers......
